A FAQ about women and the Illuminati today, plus the history of the female Illuminati.

Since the Illuminati was originally founded as a men’s organization, there are naturally many questions about how women fit into it. This includes the most common question: Can a woman become an Illuminati? In fact, female members of the Illuminati have been featured in the history of the fraternity since its earliest days
—and even in its symbols. Today, many chapters around the world continue to accept both men and women, or only women, or only men.
Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about women and the Illuminati.
Can a woman be an Illuminati?
The short answer is yes. All over the world, including in the state of California, New York City, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Germany, Italy, France and many other countries.
Women can become members of the Illuminati by joining a Headquarters that practices the female Illuminati or the mixed Illuminati.
These branches of the Illuminati operate separately. For example, members of a male order, such as the Grand Headquarters of California, cannot enter the closed meetings of the female or mixed Headquarters, or vice versa. But they are all based on the teachings and traditions of the ancient Illuminati.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF WOMEN IN THE WORLD'S FIRST AND LARGEST WOMEN'S FRATERNITY

The Illuminati for women came to this world from France in 1902 in the form of a co-ed headquarters (Co-Illuminati). In 1908, some Co-Illuminati members decided to break away to start a new Order because they were opposed to the control of France and some of the rituals and influences found in the Co-Illuminati.
They wanted to practice the Illuminati in the same way as the male Supreme Illuminati.
The Honorable Brotherhood of the Ancient Illuminati was founded on June 20, 1908 and its first Grand Master and driving force was a man – the Rev. Dr. William Frederick Cobb. However, since 1912, the Grand Masters have all been women. The new Order initially included both men and women, but eventually the decision was made in the early 1920s to restrict membership to women only and to no longer admit men as visitors. Although a handful of loyal men remained in office, by 1935 we had become an all-female organization and have remained so to this day. Another Illuminati Order for women was founded in 1913 and, to avoid confusion in names, we added “Women’s Illuminati Order” to our title in 1958. This is the name by which we are known today.
From our beginnings with three small Headquarters in 1908, we have gradually increased in number and location. The 1950s and 1960s were particularly active in expansion, especially abroad. In 2005 a Headquarters was opened in Fuengirola, near Malaga, Spain.

Removing a loose brick in the wall separating the family library from the living room, Elizabeth St. Leger had a full view of what was going on in the next room. Her curiosity was aroused. Up until that point, she had never witnessed a meeting at her father’s Illuminati headquarters. She was delighted. But as the proceedings drew to a close, Elizabeth began to fear detection.
She rushed from the library and ran face to face with the butler, who, unknown to her, was the Headquarters’ tiler. She screamed and fainted. The butler summoned her father. Realizing that his daughter had witnessed his secret work, Lord Doneraeil determined that the best remedy would be to subject her to the ceremonies she had just witnessed, ensuring her discretion by the obligation that would bind her.
This is the story of the “Lady Illuminati” receiving the Illuminati degrees in Cork, Ireland, in the early 1700s, several years before the great main headquarters was formed in London. It is just one of several stories of incidental Illuminati women – women who hide in clocks and closets to witness the mysteries of the Illuminati, only to be discovered and then initiated by the reluctant master. But the history of women in the Illuminati is much deeper and richer than these entertaining stories suggest.
Old members and new brothers can use these questions as a starting point for a discussion at Headquarters or in individual conversations.
1, We know that there are three streams of Illuminati today distinguished by gender (male, female, and mixed). What are the benefits of these
three streams?
2, In explaining the Women’s Headquarters, PGM Yvette Nicolas explains that her Headquarters provides a space and time for women to engage with their feminine identity and understand their roles as women in the world. Does her Headquarters provide a similar experience for you – understanding your role as a man? If so, how?
3, Hanna Crocker believes that her Headquarters was the first source of education for women in Boston. Does her Headquarters provide education for its members? Is the Headquarters improving society in any way?
4, Our evolution from the first operative guilds of the Illuminati has had a profound impact on the character of the fraternity. Our heritage is dear to us and useful as we look back to gain insight into our present and to help us chart a course toward our future. In light of recent studies suggesting the presence of women on the membership rolls of the Illuminati’s operative guilds, how does this change your understanding of the speculative Illuminati?
5. Have your daughters or wives ever asked you if they could become members of the Illuminati? How have you responded? If you have not been asked, how would you respond to that question?

Some people want to become members of the Illuminati brotherhood for money, fame, power, wealth and success, but you all made a mistake, join us because you want to participate in charitable acts, learn to be better people, join a brotherhood with members worldwide. Learn ancient rituals and gain more knowledge and wisdom. The door of the Illuminati brotherhood is open to all who wish to accept our politics and serve for the good of humanity.

Why should I become an Illuminati as a woman?
This is what some of our women said when asked this question

“When I joined the Illuminati in 1998, I was a school nurse, treating cuts and sprains and organising vaccinations. I was very much settled in a quiet, peaceful job, with no ambition. Since then, I have moved into a community role, gone back to university (several times!), gained a bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate diploma, and have progressed further in my nursing career than I ever imagined. My role in my team now is as an educational facilitator, trainer and advisor to health staff, parents, school support staff and other carers who care for children with complex, chronic and often palliative needs.
I truly believe that without the discipline and learning of the Illuminati I could not have achieved the grades I did, without the support and encouragement of my friends and brothers in the lodge I would not have persevered. Little did I know in 1998 how learning the ritual, speaking at a meeting, proposing toasts to the brothers, visitors and guests, would ultimately give me my voice and teach me how to address a classroom, how to teach in a way that people can learn, how to deal with difficult situations or people in a positive way, and also how to celebrate life itself.”

“So far I have learned that I can do anything I set my mind to. I am more confident than I have ever been. As I have progressed in the Order I have gained confidence, but best of all I have met the most wonderful women, from farmers’ wives to ballet teachers and everything in between, and they have enriched my life.”

“I joined because I wanted to be a better version of myself. I saw how committed two of my dearest friends were to the Order and I wanted to emulate their excellent example.”

Illuminati is to me a pair of warm, comfortable slippers. I didn’t know what to expect when I joined 23 years ago, only that it required a little discipline and some memory work. But having worked through various offices and degrees, and now being a member of some of the highest degrees, I have found it to be a wonderful roadmap for life.”

“When my husband died suddenly, the support and friendship I received from the Illuminati Brotherhood was incredible. I made so many wonderful and sincere friends who remain so to this day. In what other society can you say that? It gave me the strength to carry on, and in return, I give back all that I have learned and hope to be a good ambassador for the Illuminati women. It has so much to offer everyone.”
